NYSC REPORTEDLY HALTS NEW DEPLOYMENTS TO CROSS RIVER STATE OVER POOR CAMP FACILITIES!
Reports published on October 14, 2026, say the NYSC may stop deploying corps members to Cross River State after concerns were raised about the deteriorating condition of its permanent orientation camp in Obubra.
According to reports, the camp previously accommodated about 2,500 corps members per stream but now accommodates just over 1,000.
Our young people deserve better! 🇳🇬
Corps members leave their homes to serve their country. They deserve safe accommodation, proper sanitation, adequate facilities, and a healthy environment.
If these reports are accurate, this raises serious questions about the maintenance of public facilities and the accountability of those responsible.
📢 The question is: Why have these facilities been allowed to deteriorate, and who will be held accountable?
The NYSC and Cross River State Government should publicly clarify the situation and explain what steps will be taken to provide safe, suitable facilities for future corps members.
