It Makes Me Wonder??
Hi RedBear Music Friends.
Earlier I put up a post.. about the emotional energy one can convey with music. Particularly live music. We've all felt it. Yeah?
The song triggered a kind of emotional response within you? Happy, sad, made you move or sat you down to think things over...or even instantly sent you back to a certain event, a time and place with special people?
When you contemplate the degree and range of emotional energy music can invoke Wow.
I mean even songs you just freain' hate...think how fast your finger goes for the skip or channel select to escape it . Crazy right?
Not to replete myself, but we all have felt that power/energy music emits, some of us have been lucky enough to provide the music and feel that same energy amplified through a crowd and to feed back into ourselves.
And incredibility; the number of people absorbed into the music... can be any amount of folks. from two people on a couch one playing the other listening; or a coffee shop; to a honky-tonk bar; or a place like Gilman, St.;to a church; to stadiums and concert halls; to hundreds of thousands of folks at Woodstock. That is hard to fathom... and who knows why??
Elvin Bishop said..” You don't need a whole bunch of folks to have a good time,,,Ya' don't need 10,000 people... to have a good time...Hell.... the best time I ever had there weren't but 2 of us”
All I do know it is something we all can do and enjoy. Weather it's music, paints, comedy, poems or comic books the list of things that cause an emotional response is long, choose one and immerse yourself in the joy and share it as much as possible.
I have always doubted the existence of “Magic”... All my life, But if there is such a thing? Then to me it must be ...Music.
Perhaps John B Sebastian said it all when he sang...”then you'll see
How the magic's in the music ...and the music's in me...yeah” … It's in you too..
so play on..if you don't play yet? cut lose, give it a go..stop procrastinating , “the time to hesitate is through,” (Lucas “Empire records/Doors)...time to jump in Fray...
And if you need “Gear” Please check “RedBear Music”.
So Gear up, Peace Out, and Play On!
