We were honored to host our first art show at Happily Painted today, celebrating the work of Alexis Haueter!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the opening reception. It meant so much to see our community come together to support Alexis and celebrate her creativity. We’re excited for this to be the first of many opportunities to showcase emerging artists in our cozy Selah studio!

THIS SATURDAY — OUR FIRST ART SHOW!

This is a pretty special one for me.

One of the things I’ve always wanted Happily Painted to be is more than just a place where you come in, paint something for a couple of hours, and go home.

I want it to be a place where people can discover that they really ARE artists.

This Saturday, we get to celebrate exactly that.

We’re hosting an art show for Alexis Haueter, who has spent so much time painting, learning, practicing, and creating right here at Happily Painted— and now her work will be hanging on the walls of Happily Painted for everyone to see!

Come meet Alexis, see her paintings in person, enjoy some light snacks and help us celebrate a local artist and something brand new for our little studio.

There’s no class to sign up for and no ticket needed — just come by! Bring a friend, walk through the show and help us fill the studio for Alexis. ❤️

And this is only the beginning. We will LOVE to continue giving artists who have learned and grown here a place to show off what they can do.

This Mt. Rainier painting was so much fun to paint and then have Josh finish the painting. He added the most beautiful oil sky to finish it off, and we got to watch it come together into something neither of us could have created quite the same way on our own.
And then it SOLD during his show which was just incredible 😭❤️

I think sometimes we look at something we want to do and immediately think, “I’m not good enough for that yet.”
I am here to say challenge yourself!
Keep learning. Keep practicing. Keep trying the things that make you a little nervous.
You might surprise yourself. ❤️🎨

🎨 Quick Studio Update!

Just a little heads-up that Happily Painted will be closed Monday through Thursday this week. Our Young Artists Club has been postponed from October 1st to October 8th.

We’ll be back open Friday, October 2nd and ready for all of the fun October things we have coming up! 🎃🎨

I may be a little slower responding to messages over the next few days, but I’ll get back to everyone as soon as I can.
