I wanted the viewer to “come on in!”, so I added a path and tweaked a few things. The green in the center is iridescent. Very cool viewed in person.

If you haven’t heard of North Cascades Institute and you live in the PNW, you should look them up! They do much to connect folks to nature and to help our treasured environment in so many ways. The Environmental Learning Center is not far from this spot in the painting. You cross the Diablo Dam to get there from highway 20.
They host Mountain School for 5th graders. I was a parent helper before the center was built and we roughed it in tents on cots. The center has beautiful dorm rooms with bunk beds, a library, classrooms, and a dining hall that boasts delicious locally sourced food! I have booked Basecamp where I stayed for the weekend. Many different adult workshops are offered, all with a connection to the surroundings. They offer so much more…

It’s been a while since last posting… an injury kept me laid up, but doing much better! I brought in fresh art to LIDO Collective and there is still some tulip art there (Skagit Valley is synonymous with tulips and daffodils!). Thank you for the sales at Lido!

Found! After 11 days…!!

Horse with saddle on has been lost on Blanchard mtn near Bow, Wa. for days. Bridal broken. If this post gets to anyone who can help, it is truly appreciated!
