The Sedona Symphony is proud to announce the William and Elizabeth Sweeney Endowment Fund, launched with a generous $100,000 founding gift from long-time patrons William and Elizabeth (Bill & Liz) Sweeney. This landmark fund is dedicated to sustaining the Symphony’s artistic leadership by supporting multi-year contracts and compensation for the Artistic Director/Conductor. With a goal of $750,000, the Sweeney Fund will ensure visionary musical direction for years to come. Contributions are welcome at any time and may also be included as part of a planned gift through the Symphony’s Legacy Society. Visit the Symphony Sponsorship Program page on our website at www.sedonasymphony.org to learn more about legacy giving and sponsorship.

A Note From Eric: Today is the last day of my six-month service as Interim Executive Director for Sedona Symphony. It has been an honor and a privilege to work with and for the Board, staff, musicians, donors, and audiences of this signature regional cultural asset. The Symphony Board managed this transitional period with great skill and vision, assembling a truly amazing and accomplished team for the year ahead, both in terms of those who bring our creative public offerings to life, and in terms of those who work behind-the-scenes to empower, market, support, and fund the mission. The 2025-2026 Season is going to be an incredible one, and I look forward to seeing many of you at our concerts and other events, with gratitude for the opportunity to serve.

Continuing to introduce and celebrate our 2025-2026 Team: Please join us is welcoming Anne Marie Mackler, who will assume the role of our Development Manager, effective September 1st, 2025.

Anne Marie hails from Detroit where she discovered her love of art, music, and poetry, but also realized an annual impatience for spring’s warmth. As a college junior she headed to Arizona and was quickly won over with subtler seasons, dark skies, and reliable sunshine. Earning a degree in Spanish at NAU, she pursued work in the arts, well, the culinary arts, and she became a professional baker best known for her carrot cake. But her strong communication skills and deep appreciation for community led her to leave the hot ovens and early hours behind and earn a degree in creative writing. This led to her first job in nonprofits and also in the literary arts with a position at the Border Book Festival. She honed her fundraising and grant writing skills there and had the great fortune to work with tremendous poets, writers, and musicians. Over the years, Anne Marie has also been honored to fundraise for several great organizations including a hospital, university, and library. Now, she has happily landed at Sedona Symphony and is excited to again work directly in the arts. She looks forward to getting to know people who are dedicated to the magic that great music brings to a community.

“Returning to fundraising for the arts feels natural to me, especially in music," says Anne Marie. "Growing up, we listened to all kinds of music, and my parents were classical music aficionados. Now, I am excited to listen, learn, advocate, and help keep Sedona Symphony vibrant and strong for generations to come.”
