Sedona Arts Center is one of Northern Arizona’s most well-established cultural organizations and serves as the creative heart of Sedona. Founded in 1958, the nonprofit organization is based at the Art Barn in Uptown and offers year-round classes, exhibitions, festivals, and cultural events that enhance the creative life of the Verde Valley. The Center’s Fine Art Gallery promotes the original works

of over 100 local artists and regularly offers special assistance for collectors and art buyers, offers private studio visits, and fosters hundreds of arts education opportunities each year.

The magic of alternative firing ✨

Artist CJ Henderson’s Alternative Firing: A 2-Day Workshop in Alternative Finishings wrapped up this Sunday as participants explored the exciting world of Raku, Saggar, and Obvara firing techniques.

Over the two day workshop, participants created their own ceramic pieces and experienced the thrill of watching their creative visions transform through fire and smoke into truly distinctive works of art.

Join artist Elder Jones for Wet Concrete Carving at Sedona Arts Center and discover the surprising creative possibilities of sculpting in concrete. In this immersive, hands-on workshop, students will learn to build forms, mix materials, and carve directly into wet concrete to create a unique planter or sculptural work of art—no power tools required. All materials are included, and all experience levels are welcome.
