Another excellent Final All Classes Party and pot luck for Fall Session! Great ex*****on and variety of the student work. The barrel firing is always exciting and yields random results. We pull the pieces hot from the coals onto a bed of sand, then burn horse hair and feathers onto the surface.

For the ‘competition’ we tried something completely different and silly this time, manual 3D printing on the mini wheels with tiny syringes. It was a hoot! Thanks to all my marvelous students!

Fired up to be showing 12 new sculptures at Mechanics Bank (Formally HomeStreet Bank) as part of this year’s Madison Park Art Walk!

Copper Carbonate is causing those amazing green flames during firing. Combined with other techniques, help create various effects and black iridescent features in these pieces, a series I’ve named “Earthen”.

Opening night is Friday September 12th, 5-8pm. It’s going to be a lovely night with a variety of great artists inside local businesses.🍷

Mechanics Bank is located at 4036 East Madison St. See you there!
