This was my first ever capture of the aurora. It wasn't even visible to the naked eye, but with a 15-20 second exposure, f2.8, and iso of 1600 it showed up. I turned up the color in post, as this was the tail end of the storm, but I'm pretty happy with it. Hopefully there will be more to come in the future.

Great location just 30 minutes outside of Ellensburg. It was a bit of a treacherous hike getting to the base of the falls this time of year, but it was worth it, even if the lighting was super difficult.

Now if I can just get the color balance a little more true to life (less blue) I think I'll be sitting pretty. Only so much clarity that you can get with an aperture of f22 and a shutter speed of 30".
