When watercoloring in the past, I always just worked on a final piece with no practice or trial. I would just sketch and jump right in. I've recently started working in a sketchbook where I can just practice leaves or mountains over and over again. Sometimes they turn out amazingly! And sometimes I smear my hand through the still wet paint. Its a fun and less daunting when I want to paint but don't want to work on a more final piece. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Look at this colorful painting! Succulents are some of my favorite plants not only to paint but to admire. They're just such fun plants and are so fun to make abstract!

Its been SO FUN getting back into watercolor painting! It's something I learned a little in college but stopped practicing shortly after.

About 2 months ago, I wanted to do something creative while staying indoors and I remembered I had my watercolor supplies. I decided to break them out and give watercoloring another try.

I created this piece from a photo I took when visiting Seattle last year. I love how it turned out and it sparked my creativity to continue learning and exploring this incredible medium!

Hello! I've recently rediscovered watercolor painting and have loved how it's created a creative outlet for me when going outside to take pictures hasn't been very motivating. I've started painting small pieces that can be worked together to create larger and multiple unique pieces that are both holiday focused and then just nature focused.

Society6, the website I sell my art through, is have their black Friday sale though Tuesday 12/1! Wall art is 50% off, home decor bed & bath products are 40% off, and everything else is 30% off! With every purchase, I receive a cut and it's already been a huge blessing!

Take a look and let me know what you think!

Hello! I've recently gotten back into watercoloring, which has been a great creative outlet since going outside to take pictures hasn't been motivating me recently. I've started creating small pieces that I can then manipulate into different pieces. This has allowed me to be creative not only in my painting but also in how I incorporate pieces together!

Last week, Brian and I ventured to a new park. We've been able to see Mt. Rainier while driving around Seattle running errands but to be able to get up close and see it from a new perspective was really exciting. ⠀
