Darrah Blanton Dance offers classes for ages 18 months-8 years in two Seattle neighborhoods--Ballard and Capitol Hill as well as in Bellingham. Classes are taught in a nurturing environment that is fun, non-competitive and encourages creative expression. Darrah Blanton has been teaching children’s dance since 1999. She specializes in ballet, tap, creative movement, parent-toddler, beginning jazz,
and musical theater. Each class includes the BrainDance and a different dance concept each week. As a child growing up in Bellingham, Washington, Darrah studied with Wendy Setter at the Dance Studio and with Isabel and Teo Morca at the Morca Academy. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Washington with a double degree in Dance and English. Darrah has performed at the University of Washington, Velocity, Seattle Center, The Chamber Theater, On The Boards, and Freehold Theater. She lives with her husband and their two young sons in Bellingham.
