CD Forum Fam, Happy Juneteenth!
Before freedom was recognized, it was imagined. It was whispered between generations, carried through art, community, resistance, and joy.
At CD Forum, we understand that liberation is not only something we fight for, it is something we practice.
It lives in the stories we tell.
In the artists we nurture.
In the safe, care spaces we create.
In the conversations that challenge us.
In the joy we make room for, even when the world insists otherwise.
Juneteenth reminds us that Blackness has never been a monolith. Our freedom songs, our movements, our art, our traditions, our identities, and our ways of imagining the future are vast, layered, and beautifully complex.
Today, we celebrate the ancestors who dreamed beyond their circumstances and the artists, organizers, culture bearers, and community members who continue that work now.
May we continue to cultivate spaces where our truths are held, our creativity is nurtured, and our collective liberation can be felt not only as a future promise, but as a living practice.
Happy Juneteenth.
