Día de Mu***os! Is NOT only November 2nd, it's a whole 9 day journey of love... 🕯️🦋

•Oct 26: Building the altar.
•Oct 27: Our pets arrive.
•Oct 28: Welcoming the forgotten souls.
•Oct 29: Praying for the souls in purgatory.
•Oct 30: Honoring those who suffered violent death.
•Oct 31: The children who passed too soon, return.
•Nov 1: The grand reunion of the elders.
•Nov 2: Music, life, and death celebrate together!
•Nov 3: With prayers and blessings, we bid them farewell until next time.

The meaning of the food and other offerings on the ofrendas… are part of the 4 elements!

Photos of Loved Ones: are placed on the altar to honor them and guide their spirits back home so they are not forgotten.

Food & Drinks (Pan de Mu**to, Traditional Dishes, Fruit, and Sweets): represent their favorite foods, meals, and treats which are offered to nourish them, satisfying their hunger after their long journey and reminding them of the love they still receive.

Marigolds (Cempasúchil): creating a fragrant pathway of light and scent, ensuring the souls can easily find their way home.

Incense (Copal): is used to cleans and purify the space, creating a clean, peaceful environment while driving away bad energies and souls.

Candles & Lanterns: represent hope and faith, keeping the flame of memory alive and guiding the spirits safely back to the other side.

Personal Items & Little Toys: Favorite personal objects (such as items related to their jobs, hobbies, or things they loved in life) and small toys for the souls of children are included to welcome them back to play and enjoy the love kept for.

Want to be part of the tradition? 🕯️✨

I’ll be setting up a community altar tomorrow at the Fairwood Night Market! Whether you want to lend a hand, bring a memory or just stop by to share in the tradition, you’re so welcome to join.

I’ll also be setting up another altar on October 24th with Hiram Silva in Federal Way!

🗓️ Check out my Calendar of Events [link/in bio] to catch all the dates, times, and locations so you don't miss out. Come by and say hi—let's build something beautiful together!

Let’s keep our memories alive. 🇲🇽💀 ***os
