... It's been absolutely the most fun to welcome those who have been able to come and I'm SO grateful to those who traveled (some from far afield!) to visit me in Port Townsend.

But it's time to transition to full time September Pop-Up Prep, save daily refreshes, finish research on artists and rare pieces to share with you, clean and tag and get ready to merchandise with our collaborators!

The pop up is our biannual all-in show... For this small business it's the BIG ONE and we need the prep time to make sure all these details are just right. Finalizing the event lists, getting ready with the schedule of helpers and friends and florals and French pastries and coffee and packaging and details.

And let's be real, we also need the body rest and to let our space become a true working warehouse, because about a week after the pop-up we will be heading back to France for two months to lead retreats and get the next TWO containers ready.

Thanks for being with us as we transition from showroom to Seattle event and keeping this at a very human scale ♥️

There is just over a month to go until our French Antiques Pop-Up, Sept 24-27 back at Mutuus Studio in Georgetown and we are beyond excited. This will be our fifth biannual and biggest yet!

We've got a container of French antiques to reveal, with more objects (art, pottery, plates and furniture) than ever before and we are joined by our dear friend and talented collaborator Casa di LaValle by Cassandra LaValle for a very special curation of antiques and vintage in her signature gorgeous style.

French Art Shop is bringing antique French works on paper and special art pieces from Paris, and CONTINUUM VINTAGE is showcasing vintage European silk scarves. Ca va être magnifique...

To say we're thrilled to be bringing together a dream team of European and design curators is an understatement and the level of objects, art and furniture that have been sourced for this event is beyond... We hope you will join us to explore, shop, and connect for a special four days in Georgetown.

It's almost that time when we close up the warehouse and go into full on pop up prep mode, making sure there's a bounty of incredible pieces for you all in late September at our Georgetown Pop-Up back at Mutuus Studio. Mark your calendars for Sept 24-27!

So these are the very last warehouse appointment dates and slots are limited. Please note, the warehouse is out on the Olympic Peninsula in Port Townsend, it's about 2 hours from Seattle. That said, we will send you our list of favorite local recommendations and I'm biased because I'm from here, but it's a sweet sailing and arts community with farm and sea-to-table dining options. Worth the drive and stopover if you love that kind of thing.

I'm trying to get my green thumb ready for this Christianson's Nursery event this weekend and struck by all the vegetal tones in the antiques.

Getting excited for this! Christianson's Nursery is a legendary family business and garden, nursery, and greenhouse destination in Washington. Hosted by the incredible team at Primrose, we can't wait to join the lineup and we've got 3 tents to fill, antiques amis, you know we can load up! Primrose Antiques & Gifts

I'm bringing garden, but not just, and Seattle friends don't worry, this shipment has pieces set aside for all events, so if you're looking forward to the Seattle Pop-Up, we will have reveals just for you 💕

Showroom stories... this was a special one. I met Brian and Paula of Paula Odell at the last pop-up, and connected with them over the antiques and, of course, their beautiful poodles George and Presley GeorgeandPresley .

They were looking for a table, and we communicated while I was shopping in France, and got to know them both. They picked out one painting together while I was sourcing and Brian asked me to save a second painting for Paula as a surprise.

Fast forward to last week, everything arrived in the showroom and they made the trip over the mountains from Wenatchee to pick up the art and see some tables and visit the Olympic Peninsula. They showed up with the most beautiful and delicious box of Rainier Cherries I've ever seen, and we had a wonderful moment together.

When Paula discovered the painting that Brian had gifted her secretly, with a little note attached, there was such joy and delight, even tears, in a way I truly believe is specific to art finding its person (and someone knowing another like that).

What a beautiful day, and thank you Paula and Brian (and the boys!) for making the journey and giving me so much inspiration. They even found the table!

It's really not about the antiques, it's how we connect through them. Again and again.

Tomorrow we will be back at Seattle Design Center with Lucie's Round-Up for 1 day only with a special drop of new arrivals. Category? A selection I could fit in my car, so small stools and furniture, art, some plates and beautiful pots. Think a sampler of French country brocante... these pieces are fresh off the container from Normandy!

Come say hi! The day will be filled with new arrivals and collaborators. Hope to see you there!

PS I won't be able to send previews as I'm on the road today, but swing by to see some goodies if you've got time tomorrow. We will be there from 10am to 5pm.
