We’re excited to share that the documentary Birds of War will be screening at the Seattle International Film Festival this Friday and Saturday. ❤️

The film is directed by a Lebanese wife and her Syrian husband, bringing together powerful storytelling and perspectives from our region.

After careful consideration, we have made the decision to cancel the Seattle Arab Festival for 2026.

While in past years we were able to adapt and highlight specific countries, this year is different. The impact is widespread across the Middle East, and moving forward with a celebration does not align with the spirit of SAF.

This decision was not made lightly. We look forward to returning in 2027.

🌿 We did it. The 2025 Seattle Arab Festival bloomed with love, laughter, and stories — all made possible by a community that showed up, stood strong, and believed in the power of culture.

Despite the pressure, the obstacles, and everything in between… we rose. Together. And what we created was nothing short of beautiful.

From the incredible performances to the vibrant marketplace, the children’s laughter to the emotional tributes — this was a celebration of who we are.

Each vendor application is thoroughly reviewed, and while we do make rare exceptions in the spirit of compassion, we expect full discretion and professionalism in return.
