Concerned about the election process? Join us for a community mixer and town hall with King County Elections. Hear from Dr. Julie Wise, Director of King County Elections, about how elections work in King County, what recent court rulings could mean for mail-in voting, and what to expect on this fall's ballot.

The conversation will be moderated by Wing Luke Museum’s executive director, Chrissy Shimizu, with time for audience questions and discussion.

As we're enjoying the last bits of Summer hitting our calendar this week, meeting and talking to some wonderful people over mahjong these last few months is exactly what our events are all about. Hearing all the wholesome conversations like these encourages us to try and build in that space for our community programming and events. If you haven't connected with us yet, nows the time to say hello! 👋🏽

[Description] A series of video clips with sound bites and matching on-screen text of different conversations had during Intergenerational Mahjong 101 at Union Station.

The Wing Luke Museum honors Lonnie G. Bunch III, who recently announced his retirement as Secretary of the Smithsonian Institution, on his decades of service to the national museum field. We are grateful for his steadfast and courageous leadership at the Smithsonian, and for championing the diversity and complexity of American culture and history in our nation’s museums throughout his tremendous career. He has led by example by preserving the intellectual integrity of the Smithsonian during a time when cultural institutions are under attack. We applaud him in his work to create a stronger museum field, supporting the mission of museums like the Wing Luke Museum, to embed the full breadth of our nation’s stories into the cultural fabric of our country’s historical narrative.
