Covid has really put the damper on getting any work in 2020. There are no people gathering for events and weddings are usually very tiny causing people not to need a mobile dj. I was lucky to be able to do a small family event this last weekend which might turn out to be my only DJ work this year.

I am really old school now...... Just like a previous generation dumped their vinyl, the new generation of DJs are all digital.... Gee Wiz.... I still use CDs!!!

Was a DJ recently for an elementary "fun run." What a blast! .....the challenge.....finding music clean enough but popular enough and High energy enough to make a successful song set. I think I did well!

I just did a Bar Mitzvah on Monday night and it was a great time! The success of the event was mostly due to a young Jewish lady who had her finger on the musical pulse of the crowd. She provided all the music to be played and they danced very excited. It was fun to see the orthodox tradition of men and women dancing separately...the same dance floor but with a glass separator. I tried to buy some Jewish music at one time but the people I played it for didn't like it much. It taught me that for the vast majority of jobs that I do that are not American Top 40 music events, the client's themselves should be the best guides for the music they need and in most cases supply it themselves. They get the music they want and I get to performance a service for them to play it through awesome sounding speakers with great dance lighting.
