You are invited to crack open the Cabinet of Dreams this summer. Construction roils and teems behind the walls, but we are opening the doors — just slightly — for a first glimpse inside.

From June 4 – July 6, step into Cabinet of Dreams Gallery Show, a free to the public event inside the Buttnick lobby. Part exhibition, part dream laboratory, this installation offers fragments of the larger world being built beyond what is visible.
Visitors will encounter surreal artifacts, impossible machines, dream experiments, immersive environments, theatrical imagery, and interactive discoveries created by an extraordinary group of artists and storytellers from the Pacific Northwest and beyond.

The Gallery Show Artists are:
Ben Zamora
W. Scott Trimble
Rick Araluce
Chris McMullen
Kate Jessup
Kari-Lise Alexander
Jason Puccinelli
Stevie Shao
MXT Reality
Erin O.Kay
Nicolas Sowers

This is not yet the full Nebula experience. Think of it as a sigil from the dreamworld. A rare chance to witness the earliest stages of a massive immersive arts project taking shape in real time.

Seattle artists, dreamers, and builders—we’re ready for you.
Nebula Seattle has officially launched our first Call for Artists. We are seeking visual artists to help shape the dream world inside our 22,000 square foot immersive facility in Pioneer Square.

Nebula will be part art exhibit, part interactive museum, part performance space, and part unfolding mystery. In our story world, the boundaries between waking life and dreams have begun to unravel and it’s up to our audience to restore the balance.

Across three floors of rooms and hidden corners, artists will help bring this curious dream laboratory to life.

Wondering about compensation, deadlines, and the full story?
Follow the link to read the full call and artist guide. https://www.rippleproductions.org/artist-submission

With an art budget of $1.5M, we have a wide range of commissions and contracts available, from design-only to complete room design and fabrication. We will consider all sizes of proposals.

Word is spreading among coffee drinking Seattleites reading the “paper” with black cats, in pajamas. Nebula is coming, dreams are becoming infrastructure and the people pictured are excited and filled with gratitude.

Here’s an excerpt: “For three years, Erin Brindley and Terry Podgorski have been wandering in Seattle’s real estate wilderness, dreaming of a new home.

The co-founders of Cafe Nordo, Seattle’s long-adored immersive culinary theater company, closed up shop on South Main Street in Pioneer Square at the end of 2022, after a hard couple of COVID years and the news that their landlord was selling the building. That space, called The Culinarium, had served them well for more than seven years, but now they were ready for something bigger and better.

“We’d been looking for something around 15 to 20,000 square feet,” Brindley said. “We also wanted a place where you could get lost, where we can bring people in and then let another world take them away.”

The pair toured spaces all over the Greater Seattle area looking for an accessible, multifloor space, but nothing felt quite right.

Back in Pioneer Square, a few short blocks from the former Culinarium, the perfect home was waiting for them…read more here https://www.seattletimes.com/entertainment/theater/cafe-nordo-gets-a-new-name-and-home-in-pioneer-square/
