It's almost June & June is basically perfect. The weather is sick but it still throws a rainy day or two into the mix for a nice contrast.
The cruise ships are going and is BUZZING with activity. Upstairs in the Market it's elbow to elbow but down in our little corner of the world on Western Ave - it's pleasantly humming. You can stop and peruse while you stroll and not worry about 300 people behind you filing past each of the artists tables - but afraid to stop and hold up the whole works. It's not like that down here. On Western you'll find a whole street full of local artists and a delicious bakery. Some of our favorites: & . perfect afternoon during the perfect month.
But best of all - it's Pride. Genuinely the best feeling month and I credit it all to Pride. Full of color and joy -- and at least 40% more kindness in general.
We don't have much to do to prepare. We already carry flags and pins and patches and bunting and keychains and stickers for gay folks year round.

We put our money where our mouth is (?) in June. Have you ever really thought about that phrase? What on earth does that mean? Whatever.
Every June we donate 5% of all our sales for the month to a local LGBTQIA+ organization. We'll announce our 2026 recipient on June 1st. WAIT WITH BATED BREATH UNTIL THEN (?) What the f**k does that mean now?
In June, I promise not to eat a gummy before I write our social media posts. Well.... listen. That's probably not true & I"m sorry for lying.
