Calling All Artists! 🎨 The Garfield Super Block Coalition is seeking 7 artists to create 7 pillars that shine a spotlight on the stories of the vibrant ethnic communities that shaped the Central District neighborhood from 1800 to 1975: African American, Chinese, Duwamish, Filipino, Italian, Japanese, and Jewish people.

These artworks will be created by an artist from each of the 7 cultures and all the artists will work on an 8th pillar as a shared effort.

The Public Artist Roster is a pre-qualified list of professional visual artists. These artists are eligible to create site-responsive works of art for K-12 public schools, colleges, universities, and state agencies. Art in Public Places (AIPP) project managers facilitate this process.
