Taking a moment to reflect on city support for our recent production of The Story of Edgar Sawtelle. We deeply appreciate the support of the Office of Arts and Culture. Thank you for helping us bring great art to the stage.

Still craving that Book-It style?! You don’t have to wait long.

Book-It’s Myra Platt directs and adapts Cowboys Are My Weakness — a wry, funny, music-filled celebration of love, freedom, and choice.

Co-produced by Book-It Repertory Theatre and Whidbey Island Center for the Arts, this revival reintroduces a beloved Book-It adaptation first staged in 1999 — and it’s as sharp, surprising, and heartfelt as ever.

🎭 Onstage through October 25

Though The Story of Edgar Sawtelle has closed, the Book-It story continues.

Our Co–Artistic Director Myra Platt is back at it — directing Cowboys Are My Weakness, adapted from Pam Houston’s acclaimed short stories, in a co-production between Book-It Repertory Theatre and Whidbey Island Center for the Arts.

Featuring Book-It’s own Hilary Pickles (our Board Vice President and longtime ensemble member), this piece is classic Book-It: bold, literary, woman-centered, and full of heart — complete with live music and laughter.
