We recently added free patterns for Lana Grossa Superkid Seta and wanted to share a few project ideas. It is also currently on sale at 50-55% off here https://littleknits.com/collections/lana-grossa-superkid-seta

If you have not worked with it before, Superkid Seta is a wonderfully soft blend of kid mohair and silk with a delicate halo and beautiful drape. It can be worked on its own for lightweight sweaters, shawls, accessories, and other projects, or held together with another yarn to add a beautiful halo and softness.

The purple-fuchsia sweater might be my favorite, although I seem to change my mind every time I look at these pics. 😄

A non-fiber post today as I spend some time in Pennsylvania with my dad while he undergoes a heart procedure.

This is my dad, Terry, whose weaving projects I occasionally share with you. He’s one of the kindest people I know. Behind his engineer’s logical-practical exterior is an incredibly soft heart.

Over the years, people have abandoned cats at his farm. When he reached out to the only rescue organization in the area, he was told they did not have the resources to take them in and the only alternative would be euthanasia. So my dad did what he always does when faced with a problem that affects someone vulnerable, he stepped up. Today he cares for more than 25 cats and kittens, making sure they are fed, safe, and loved.

If you have a moment today, I would be grateful for any good thoughts or prayers you can send his way. I’m writing this from the hospital waiting room after they just took him in. Thank you.

Tunisian crochet can be used to create beautiful patterns and effects in a garment. One of the loveliest is the Tunisian star stitch, the focus of today’s Little Knits Workshop! 🧶

This technique blends the beauty of tunisian crochet's simple stitch or 'knit' stitch with a decorative splash of texture. Even though it may look a little intimidating, this stitch is surprisingly easy to make!

We hope that this inspires you to try something new on your crafting journey! ❤

Look what Christen made, you guys! 🌸

She combined elements from multiple Flower Bouquet Blanket crochet patterns and turned them into this masterpiece. It took her a couple of months to complete and she used approximately 3000 yards of yarn from her stash for the blanket body. The roses were made with our Cascade 220 Superwash, which is currently on sale at our shop here https://littleknits.com/collections/cascade-220-superwash 💜🩵

We absolutely love how cheerful this project turned out. Christin looks like she is carrying around an actual bouquet of flowers. Have you made one of these blankets?

This is one of those projects that looks even better in motion. Stephanie made her Lovage cardigan in Berroco Sesame back in 2022 using the beautiful orange-red colorway, and the stripes, texture, and drape are absolutely stunning.

Berroco Sesame yarn line is currently on sale at 50-55% off at Little Knits, and the Lovage pattern is available as a free download here: https://littleknits.com/collections/berroco-sesame

Take a look at the gorgeous colors and textures in the Berroco Sesame yarn line, currently on sale at 50–55% off here https://littleknits.com/collections/berroco-sesame. 😍

Sesame is a soft blend of wool, acrylic, and cotton that works up in beautiful shifting stripes with subtle tweedy flecks and tiny textured bobbles throughout the yarn. The generous 100 gram skeins offer 230 yards each and create lightweight garments and accessories that can easily be worn year-round.

This yarn is even prettier in person. When Sesame first arrived at Little Knits, I used it for a stranded colorwork project. Today, inexplicably, two skeins fell into my bag and ended up coming home with me. 😄

Tunisian crochet magic ✨ Did you know the Tunisian “knit” stitch can create fabric that looks almost identical to knitting?

Join Rachel in our Little Knits Workshop as she shows how this beautiful technique works and why so many knitters and crocheters fall in love with it. The resulting fabric has the smooth look of knitting, but with the unique structure and rhythm of Tunisian crochet. Honestly, some Tunisian shawls and sweaters are nearly impossible to tell apart from knit garments unless you flip them over and inspect the “purl” side!

The creative possibilities with this style of crochet are endless and so much fun to explore.

Do you already crochet Tunisian style? Have a favorite pattern? Or is there a Tunisian project you’ve been wanting to try? We’d love to hear about it.
