PRG Weekly Enewsletter: Our current solo-exhibition with Terry Turrell puts on display his incredible talent for transforming materials. In an artist's hands, a familiar material can lose its fixed purpose and its former life can be reimagined. Today, we will explore this ethos in several other PRG artists as well. Alfredo Romero, Deloss Webber, Meredith Pardue, Patrick LoCicero, Tyson Grumm & Karen Hackenberg all ask us to question what else might be happening beneath the surface. - https://mailchi.mp/rovzargallery/beneaththesurface

PRG Weekly Enewsletter: Join us Saturday, October 3rd from 3-5pm for our opening reception with Terry Turrell and a very special chance to hear directly from him in a Q&A at 3:30pm. “Bending Notes” is filled with countless treasures that reveal the remarkable scope and sincerity with which Turrell creates. Almost anything can become a surface for painting—a tin can lid, the cover of a book, a cigar box, a canvas tarp—and each unexpected surface becomes part of the story of the work. - https://mailchi.mp/rovzargallery/turrellcatalog26

PRG Weekly Enewsletter: Having just marked the autumnal equinox, the works we share today ask us to consider the importance of balance. There is a yin-yang energy to these works, discovering beauty in shadow no less than in radiance. Balance here, and in life, is not perfect symmetry or clear dividing lines. It is something far more delicate and alive.
JOIN US TOMORROW, Thurs, Sept 24 from 12-1pm, as part of Seattle's Art + Culture Week for a live performance from by Benjamin Hunter. - https://mailchi.mp/rovzargallery/darklightbalance

PRG Weekly Enewsletter: Last week, we explored the meaning within details and today, we're thinking about our 34 years of business and how meaning gathers over time. From ZZ Wei’s weathered cars to Kellie Talbot’s peeling paint and rusted neon, several of our artists explore nostalgia, history, and age, reminding us that what endures is not untouched by time, but deepened by it. Save the date for Art+Culture Week event with musician Benjamin Hunter on Thursday, Sept 24 from 12-1pm - https://mailchi.mp/rovzargallery/endure

Weekly PRG Enewsletter: Kellie Talbot’s extraordinary photorealism reminds us how much can be communicated through detail. Every weathered surface, glint of light, reflection, and trace of age reveals the care embedded in making. Across our artists’ practices, attentiveness takes many forms—from nuanced surfaces and accumulated marks to subtle color and unexpected materials—deepening our connection to the work. Enjoy entering a selection of new works through their unique details. - https://mailchi.mp/rovzargallery/devotiontodetail

PRG Weekly Enewsletter: As summer fades, September brings renewed focus, curiosity, and a return to learning. Art offers an education of its own, expanding how we see and understand. It sharpens our awareness of light, color, and form; challenges convention; uncovers hidden histories; and deepens our understanding of identity, culture, and one another. - https://mailchi.mp/rovzargallery/whatartteachesus

PRG Weekly Enewsletter: The air is thick with smells of sun-warmed grass and flowers. Friends and family linger outside as the evening approaches slowly and stretches on almost indefinitely. There’s something nostalgic about these days—a warmth and freedom that recalls childhood summers. It’s a season that feels expansive, playful, a little unruly, and wonderfully alive. Today, we share a selection of artworks that capture that unmistakable energy of summer at its height.- https://mailchi.mp/rovzargallery/summertime

PRG Weekly Enewsletter: Some natural phenomena exceed language—their scale incomprehensible, their wonder immediately felt. From eclipses to the Perseid meteor shower, the cosmos reminds us of something far larger than ourselves. Art can transport us to similar terrain, evoking awe, wonder, heightened awareness, and connection. Today, we share works that capture that same sense of magic. - https://mailchi.mp/rovzargallery/naturalwonder

PRG Weekly Enewsletter: Join us tomorrow for First Thursday Art Walk from 5-8pm. David French will be here and we have treats! Inspired by his recent artist talk, we share works that explore the relationship between music and abstraction. Through color, gesture, texture, harmony, and dissonance, these artists draw on years of discipline, observation, and deep material knowledge. Their fluency allows transforms sustained practice into works that feel spontaneous, expressive, and alive. - https://mailchi.mp/rovzargallery/musicabstraction
