With its signature center bar, polished wood floors, a large outdoor deck, and a postcard view of the Seattle skyline, the Skansonia is the embodiment of iconic Seattle. The MV Skansonia, by Landmark Event Co., is a full-service event venue offering an unbeatable view of the downtown Seattle skyline, the Space Needle and Lake Union. Our historical retired Washington State ferry boat is permanently docked on north Lake Union, and has been a successful event venue for over 35 years.

We're grateful to share a positive update on MV Skansonia.

The vessel is floating and stable, and recovery efforts are actively underway. The cause of this morning's incident has been identified, and the vessel's owner, who has been on-site throughout the day, is leading the repair work. We are cautiously optimistic about a return to its former state within the next few weeks.

In the meantime, our team is actively taking care of our near-term clients: one event has been successfully relocated to The Fremont Foundry, our sister venue fewer than two miles away, and we have eight other venues across Seattle and the greater area to support any client who needs an alternative. We're confident that everyone will have great options to choose from.

We look forward to welcoming guests back aboard this beloved and beautiful 100-year-old ferry soon.

We will keep everyone updated as news comes in.
