We're grateful to share a positive update on MV Skansonia.

The vessel is floating and stable, and recovery efforts are actively underway. The cause of this morning's incident has been identified, and the vessel's owner, who has been on-site throughout the day, is leading the repair work. We are cautiously optimistic about a return to its former state within the next few weeks.

In the meantime, our team is actively taking care of our near-term clients: one event has been successfully relocated to The Fremont Foundry, our sister venue fewer than two miles away, and we have eight other venues across Seattle and the greater area to support any client who needs an alternative. We're confident that everyone will have great options to choose from.

We look forward to welcoming guests back aboard this beloved and beautiful 100-year-old ferry soon.

We will keep everyone updated as news comes in.

Anchor Your Love in Iconic Seattle History ⚓️✨

Set sail toward your forever aboard a true maritime treasure. We are inviting you to step onto the decks of the MV Skansonia on May 16, 2026, for our spring Open House.

Originally a 1929 car ferry, this historic wooden vessel has been reimagined into Seattle’s premier waterfront venue. With its polished wood floors, hand-carved bar, and a panoramic "postcard" view of the downtown skyline across Lake Union, the Skansonia offers a romantic atmosphere that is uniquely and authentically Seattle.

Whether you're dreaming of a sunset ceremony or a nautical-chic reception, come see why this vintage gem is a dream for couples and photographers alike.

Space is limited to ensure everyone gets a front-row view of the ship. Please reserve your time slot in advance:
