Jennifer Hatters - Artist I am an observer, rememberer, exaggerator and storyteller. Welcome to my stories. JENNIFER HATTERS

I am a Seattle girl.

A lover of layers and mountains, a beauty school drop out, a tour guide at heart and an artist. I am an observer, a rememberer, an exaggerator
and storyteller. I love a good story, a really good story. The kind of story someone tells at a party that makes you laugh so hard you secretly p*e your pants a little and your sides ache for an hour after the party is over. Or the story that makes your thr

oat tight and your eyes burn while you listen, trying not to cry. I love the stories you can’t stop thinking about, the characters, the settings, and especially the feelings the stories bring up within you. I love a good story, but I love to be the storyteller more. Welcome to my stories...

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest I am an artist, photographer, writer and dog lover living on a little lake, on the edge of the woods, just close enough to the big city to attend gallery openings and eat my favorite greek food.

Monochromatic Moments

Man I use to hate the fabric store when I was a kid and my Mom took me with her. She hardly sewed so I don’t know exactly what we were doing there, but I feel differently now. I love being surrounded with the color and patterns, buttons and thread spools. Even if all I can do is take pictures, it’s just inspiring!

Fin is 10, living on a little lake with her Grandmother. All her life she’s moved every year, but this time it’s been two summers in one place, two summers with best friends two years in the same bedroom, but it’s coming to an end.

How long will her memories last? This already seems like a long, long, long time ago. Don’t forget me.

Heard Lisa Congdon speak at Elliott Bay Book Co. last weekend! Capital Hill was one big block party on a weirdly warm fall evening. Her talk was great, I bought a book, she signed it and even better I made a new friend.

I love my Mondays now! Costco is empty, my Starbucks is quiet and my dog and I have the whole street to ourselves when we walk in the morning! What is not to love?!

I’ve waited a long time to love my Mondays. My weekend wasn’t bad either!
