Spooked in Seattle, in association with AGHOST (Advanced Ghost Hunters of Seattle-Tacoma), the longest running ghost tour in Seattle has an immediate need for Tour Guides for the upcoming Spring, Summer and Fall season.

Tours currently consist of history and stories from locations in a portion of the Pioneer Square neighborhood, presenting evidence collected on actual paranormal investigations.

Spooked in Seattle is a privately owned company, unlike other ghost tours operating in the area which are part of a chain, where guides compile their own stories from the internet and work from an app, never coming face to face with their employers.

Our stories come from the businesses we visit, actual paranormal investigations, and in some cases, personal experiences from our guides, many of whom have been with us for several years.

Please note that this is a part time position and requires evening availability. Schedules are catered to availability. Depending on the season, guides generally average 2-3 tours per week, but more are possible, depending on tour schedules.

TOUR GUIDE REQUIREMENTS:

*Ability to learn and relay history and stories told during the tour, and willingness to learn new material as needed.

*Must be comfortable with speaking in front of a large group. Public speaking experience is desirable, but not necessary.

*Interest and knowledge of paranormal investigation is highly desirable.

*Flexible evening availability, particularly Friday and Saturday. (Schedules will vary depending on time of year.)

*Must be punctual and dependable.

*Knowledge of use of a tablet/iPad and Bluetooth speaker.

***IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE DESIRED REQUIREMENTS, PLEASE DO NOT APPLY***

COMPENSATION

*Base of $30 per tour (based on 90 minutes), up to 10 guests. $1 additional for each guest over 10, plus gratuities. Tours generally max at 25, but may go to 30 at times.

*Pay periods currently are the 1st of the month to the 15th, and the 16th to the last day of the month.

*Direct Deposit authorization must be completed. Pay deposited approx. 5 days following the last day of the pay period (may vary due to weekends/holidays).

ADDITIONAL INFO

*Schedules are set depending on the time of year and vary depending on business activity. Typically, 2-3 tours per week for each guide are standard during the busy season (Spring, Summer and Fall), but may be more during the Halloween season. The Winter season is the slowest time of year and the schedule is usually drastically reduced.

Extra days may be available in the event that coverage for others is needed (sickness, vacations. etc.).

*Tour Guides are requested to dress appropriately (black is the preferred color) and period dress is desirable, but not necessarily required.

*Willingness to learn additional tours or office.
