The new Contactcreate Studios website will be up before the year's end. We need interviews from the industries best on the issues of improving sound and music in Indie film and building a community to support this effort. If you're a Film Producer, Director, Music Supervisor, Composer, Musician or Engineer, we'd like to address many questions. Here are a few of the questions at hand:
How do we get more live classical instrumentation into sample dominated scores?
How do we better fuse live and digital music to create a more human/dynamic feel?
How to we get better Dub Mixes that gel all of the components of the film.
Is it possible or even necessary to build affordable dub mixing studios in the Seattle area?
What would and "affordable rate" actually look like?
Would offering 5-7.1 or even Atmos be worth it to film makers?
Would film makers make the trek to Tacoma or Everett for a quality dub mixing environment?
Are their grants to help keep costs low but employees competitively paid?
How to structure costs to be affordable yet equitable?
Will our Scalable Orchestra concept really work?
How can we find other composers, musicians and engineer to share skills, swap stories and create new exciting and successful. projects?
Where are other resources available that might be making a similar effort that we can team up with?
We need your answers in person at our podcast studio or via Zoom. Contact me if this subject introduces you and hope to hear your voice soon!
