Founder & talent manager of Anchors UP Management, Kate Alabaster aka Kate Orlowski, has been managing music since the start of her evil-brainchild-band, “Alabaster” back in 2004. The Chicago transplants who became a Seattle favorite in the local
music community, playing events such as: BumberShoot, Warped Tour, CMJ, SXSW, and even touring numerous times. With Alabaster's guitarist Joe Bosslet by Kate's side they accomplished much of the day to day business for Alabaster. Including but not limited to, booking all the shows, tours, managing the social media, networking, balancing the budget, merch management, producing, and PR set up and ex*****on. Joe & Kate originally started the firm working under Anchors Aweigh Management until recently, with “Alabaster” going on Hiatus…. Joe has started to work for some great local Seattle show bookers including, “Rain City Ambience” & “Take Warning Booking”. So, with space to fill and a desire to really elevate the management firm, Kate has decided to go solo in managing bands in the local scene including some really great local acts including: “Kight”, “Honor Among Thieves”, and managing the social media for female fronted power house “Furniture Girls”. The roster is growing though as Kate continues to look for groups who hold stellar artists who can help the Seattle local community grow, and carry one another through the passing storms. The camaraderie found in the music community of Seattle is like no other and it's time to let those bands that are participating in that sort of “hi5 mentality” get the attention they deserve.
