Spill - photography exhibit on the 2010 Gulf Oil Spill

Spill - photography exhibit on the 2010 Gulf Oil Spill "SPILL" photography exhibit by Daniel Beltrá "SPILL" is a photography exhibit about the BP Oil Spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

The photos were shot by Daniel Beltrá while on assignment for Greenpeace to document what became the world's worst marine oil spill. Beltrá photographed the environmental catastrophe for over two months, capturing some of the most iconic images of the spill.

“A year ago, I witnessed firsthand the largest marine oil spill in history. Through ‘SPILL,’ I hope to highlight our oil dependency and spur

a greater debate in an effort to encourage people to find sustainable solutions.”

Beltrá’s photographs capture a unique nexus, in which stunning and sometimes surprising color illustrates environmental devastation. Oil, water, color, light and chemical dispersants combine to stimulate the viewer in arresting ways. The "SPILL" exhibit opened at the 212 Gallery in Aspen, just a little more than a month after some of the images were shot.

I'm very excited to share that I was chosen by Apple to test out their new Macbook Pro laptops which were officially launched earlier this morning.

Between the 2.9ghz of processing power, the four terabyte solid-state hard drive and the 32 gigabytes of RAM, my pre-release version is a blazing fast machine which will greatly speed and simplify my workflow both in the field and at my home base.

Apple brought myself and eleven other professional users to New York for the past couple of days to give a demonstration to the international press, and it was inspiring to be surrounded by such talented, passionate and creative people. You can read more about it here: https://bit.ly/2N9epXz

I'm really looking forward to taking this out on an assignment. Thanks to Apple for inviting me to be a part of this.
