Hello friends! We are nearing the end of our year long sabbatical (June 1st 2026), and I need to announce that after 40 years of ceramics we are not returning with our same product. Our ceramic dog magnets/pins were incredibly popular, but kept us in constant production --and we did not believe in continually raising our prices to "what the market would bear", as that isn't our philosophy and we also had a family friendly product we wanted to keep within reach of people of all incomes. But shall I say we got burned out? Yes--. and we considered retiring altogether. But we will be back with mixed media block prints and patches--some examples in this photo. (Cool no war dog patches pictured soon)
In the last few years at the Pike Place Market we were especially popular for selling one of a kind mixed breed dogs. What we have left of those we are not selling, but as long as we have "regular' breed stock left you can still purchase those online from us for $18 each See our website Haleyannedogpins.com and click on thumbnail for colors. Then write to us to inquire if we have any left. We are better stocked in magnets than in pins, as they were more frequently asked for in later years, but we also have many pins left. Thanks much! We always had kind customers, who loved their companion animals, and we experienced much appreciation. We always believed that our interactions with the people who came to our table was more important than a sale. But we also appreciated all of the appreciation. Haley will be present more than will Leanne at the Market in coming days. It is a wonderful community and we always believe in supporting our fellow artists. Update: while we are on sabbatical, Haley Land (the Haley of Haleyanne) has had a children's book published by Chin Music Press called JJ, Clyde and the Banned Book! It has a second printing just out, which includes discussion questions and blurb recommendations by a couple of Seattle educators. It's available to order online at Chinmusicpress.com, Amazon, and other sites please ask for it at your local bookstore, and follow Haley on FB and Instagram for news. Hello friends! November is almost over! This past week was our last week of 2024 selling at the Pike Place Market. We saved vacation time to take the holiday season off so that we can fully be available as our daughter and son in law welcome their first baby into this world. We can still take limited holiday orders at our website for the next week. I am holding off our last glaze firing for a few days. After that inquire via the website haleyannedogpins dot com (I will put link in comments) ---I will have some glazed back stock of website items at home (we won't have access to our Market stock). Here are some of the new dog magnets we are bringing in to the Pike Place Market this week. Each week, along with the standards we always make, we create many one of a kind dogs to add to our selection of mixed breeds-- also new colors for more standard dogs. A sampling of dogs from our table at the Pike Place Market. We make many one of a kind dogs from week to week--because, fabulously, dogs come in a millions of combinations! We will not be at the Market Thanksgiving week, and will next be back November 30th. Sadly, we will not be selling at the Pike Place Market tomorrow (Thursday October 20) as planned. Smoke from wildfires in other parts of western Washington is going to keep us home tomorrow. There will be other lovely vendors selling --but alas, we are sitting this one out. We will be back next Thursday! Oct 27th.
