THIS EVE!

✨🎨✨ Meet Izzy (), one third of the group show All The Pretty Things Were Acting Strange! The show opens TODAY, Thursday, May 14th from 6–10pm and also features new work by and .jpg.

Izzy has been one of my favorite artists for years, and I’ve wanted to show her work literally forever. Izzy is an illustrator, painter, and graphic designer, and she also created the amazing poster for this show. It’s SO good.

Her work feels like a magical maximalist daydream. It’s playful, surreal, a little chaotic, and very, very much alive. When Izzy talks about her work, she talks about growing up in a family of artists who encouraged her to express her own version of the world. What a special gift! She still channels that younger version of herself and imagines what that perspective looks like carried into adulthood. She says:

“I’m always drawn back to the magic that exudes from women and the safe spaces their energy has always provided me. The women my mom surrounded me with growing up, the women in my life daily, and women throughout history. We are bright, vibrant creators… a little strange with whimsical nuances that are so authentic.”

Her art is a love letter to those women, and she addresses it to: “the women who raised me, who I look up too, and the woman I want to be.”

Tonight the gallery becomes something like a living storybook, created by these 3 amazing artists, willing and open for your own interpretation, just waiting to be stepped inside. What will you see? ✨💫📖💫✨

They built their own lanes. Made room. Passed the mic.
They shaped The Town’s creative culture in real time — and for one night, they’re pulling back the curtain and telling the stories behind it.

Feb 12 we’re taking over the M. Rosetta Hunter Gallery at Seattle Central College for Roots, Rain & Rhythm (1985–1995): The Sound of Black Seattle — an opening night and live storytelling gathering rooted in memory, music, and community.

This is live, on-stage storytelling from DJs, emcees, musicians, and culture-shapers who were there, told surrounded by 38 handwritten stories and portraits from As Many Weirdos As Possible.

⭐️ Featuring ⭐️
• DJ TOPSPIN aka BLENDIANA JONES
• Chenelle Marshall
• Dan Harris-Manier
• Teia Burton-Green
• B-Self

• Hosted by: Scott Griggs
