Hello families!

It has been over a year since we last were able to host families in Playspace, and we have missed it so much! With Washington state in Phase 3 of the Healthy Washington reopening plan, we are allowed to host birthday parties again! We have been doing some work on the Playspace over the last year and the experience will be a lot different now. The large play structure is no longer there, and our focus is on more of a multifunctional space. So, we will now have two options for how you want your party set up! We have a large slide inflatable, or you can choose to have a soccer/basketball/dodgeball type party on our large foam flooring. We also have a wonderful space for parents and a space for tables, food, and gifts!

We are re-opening our Playspace for birthday party rentals! If you’d like to schedule a tour to see the new space, please reach out to [email protected]. Our website (ballardchurch.com/playspace) is updated with more details, including pictures of the space, and we are open for parties starting today, June 1st. We are so excited to be back, and hope you will spread the word!

Hello! In response to the recommendation from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that all gatherings of 50 or more should be cancelled or postponed for the next eight weeks, Playspace will be fully closed through Sunday, May 10th at the earliest. Please keep up with our page for more updates. Please stay safe - we look forward to seeing you later this year!

Ballard Church has made the difficult decision to close Playspace indefinitely due to the recommendation from the King County Department of Health regarding large gatherings. We will re-assess the viability of re-opening Playspace on a weekly basis. If a party you booked is cancelled, we will be in touch with you and will provide a full refund. We look forward to re-opening Playspace as soon as possible!

We are trying to use this time away proactively at Ballard Church, which will include improving Playspace by, among other things, creating a more inclusive and engaging parent area, increasing our staffing and cleaning procedures once Playspace re-opens, and working towards re-doing our floor. We are hoping to provide a great experience to all upon our re-open. Hello! Open Play is CLOSED on Tuesday 3/3 and Thursday 3/5. We are focused on making Playspace as safe and as clean a space as possible and are analyzing additional procedures needed with the COVID-19 spread. We look forward to re-opening Playspace as soon as possible!

Just a reminder the Ballard Church Playspace is closed this week for the holidays! Open play will return on Tuesday, 12/31!

We would love to invite you and your family to our Christmas Eve Service tomorrow at 3pm, it is a family service so we will get to celebrate the birth of Jesus all together!
