New Management at The Slate
In November 2017, the management of The Slate was transferred to The Fern Shakespeare Company. Committed to remaining an affordable space for all types of productions, The Fern hopes to promote cultural and artistic diversity and to strengthen and serve the Seattle Theatre Community through performance and education.
The Fern is excited to work with local theatre and performance artists to make The Slate an exciting space which caters to many different types of theatre and art. The Slate has a brand new look (it is now complete black box) and a new website at SlateTheater.com. On our new website you can find information on upcoming performances in addition to rental inquiries. The Slate is available to rent for both performance and rehearsal.
We want to ensure that The Slate remains affordable for smaller companies and individual artists in Seattle while providing a comfortable space for patrons and performers alike. We’ve made great progress during renovations however we still have miles to go.
