Catch .godoy, our 2025 resident visual artist, in our lobby throughout Springshot!

Born in Seattle to a French mother and Chilean father, Léa Godoy is a visual artist whose work explores slowness, attention, and presence. She uses photography to build connections with places and people, documenting a life that is always changing. Her images often highlight color and details that might go unnoticed, creating a feeling of recognition, the sense that you have seen it before, even if you do not know when or where. Godoy’s work invites viewers to pause, notice, and quietly remember.

Here's what he has to say about his piece: ""Pages from the Book of Bloom" is a selection brand new collages and paintings created using only found, reclaimed, salvaged, and otherwise trashed material. Every day, everyone in Seattle will generate 5.21 lbs of waste, 51% of which is sent to a landfill and 3% will fall out of a car door or pocket and make its way into a tree well, creek bed, alleyway, or under a barnacle-encrusted boulder. Artist Roland Carette-Meyers has been making "trash art" for over 11 years, diverting discarded objects into a new life as considered objects, perhaps even art. Prints, originals, and commissions are available."

She started kittening last year and quickly fell in love with the buzz of backstage life, keeping things running smoothly while soaking in every moment of the show. Light on her feet and full of playful charm, she’s here to help the night sparkle!
