A look back at some of the beautiful performances from our very first Classical Cohorts this year ✨ Congratulations to all the dancers for the creative collaboration and artistry that was brought to the stage! 🤍

We are incredibly proud of all the dancers for their dedication and hard work throughout this 6 week program, where they collaborated in small groups to choreograph new pieces, explore repertoire, strengthen technique, and grow as artists!

An exciting evening of Indian dance featuring a collection of traditional Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, and Mohiniyattam pieces, a live orchestra collaboration, and fusion dances including Bhangra, Bollywood, Kuthu, and semi-classical, all performed by our very own Natya dancers!!

Introducing Natya’s featured dancers for our Artist Spotlight fundraiser on April 23rd (Thursday), starting at 7:30pm!

(Here’s a little bit more about our featured dancers!)

Nithya Subramanian is a Bharatanatyam dancer and discipline of Smt. Vidyalakshmi Vinod. She has been learning Bharatanatyam for 17 years now and this is her fourth year on Natya at UW!

Srujana Kodavalla is currently a disciple of Smt. Bhavana Kudikala and Sri Jai Kishore Mosalikanti. She has been learning Kuchipudi for the past 16 years and this is her third year on Natya at UW!

Netra Krishnan is a disciple of Smt. Vidyalakshmi Vinod. She has been learning Bharatanatyam for the past 16 years. This is her 4th year on Natya at UW!
