A special moment from our Open House at Lucymont. ✨

Guillaume introduced Sarabande, a pas de deux of his own choreography, before he and 🎀αвву ʝαуиє ∂єαиgєℓσ🎀 performed it for our guests.

In his introduction, he shared a little of the dance’s history — from its early roots in Mexico in the 1600s to its later development in Italy and France. With Mahoningtown’s strong Italian heritage, it felt like a particularly meaningful piece to share as our first live performance at Lucymont.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Open House at Lucymont yesterday. ✨

It meant so much to welcome families, neighbors, dancers, friends, and members of the community into our new home and finally share the spaces we’ve been working so hard to bring to life.

We’re incredibly grateful for the support, conversations, encouragement, and excitement surrounding Adage Ballet Academy, Jai Yoga, and Lucymont as we begin this new chapter in New Castle.

One-on-one sessions are tailored to each dancer’s individual goals, whether you’re looking to refine technique, strengthen pointe work, prepare a variation or competition, build conditioning, or get ready for an audition.

Private lessons are available with Abby Jayne DeAngelo or Guillaume Basso and may be scheduled occasionally or as part of an ongoing training plan.

$80 per 60-minute session

Such a surreal moment to finally be dancing in this space after everything it has taken to get here.

TODAY from 1–4 PM, we’ll welcome everyone for the Lucymont Open House, and Guillaume and I will perform Sarabande, a beautiful pas de deux choreographed by Guillaume.

Ballet is calling. 🩰

We’re now scheduling free trial classes for new students at Adage Ballet Academy.

Dancers ages 5–20 are invited to experience their first ballet class with us for free. Trial classes may be offered in a small group or one-on-one setting depending on scheduling and availability.

Come meet our faculty, experience our training environment, and find the right placement for your dancer.

The Pre-Season Conditioning Workshop starts in just four days! ✨

From August 31–September 4, dancers ages 10+ with at least three years of ballet training are invited to join us for five days of focused training designed to help them return to the studio strong, prepared, and ready for the season ahead.

Training includes ballet technique, pointe, targeted physical conditioning for dancers, yoga, cardio, breathing exercises, and guided relaxation.

Can’t attend the full week? Daily drop-in rates are available for $85 per day.
Prefer the full experience? The complete five-day workshop is $380 (10% discount/hr).

Applications are free and simply help us confirm that the workshop is an appropriate fit. Once approved, dancers can register for the full workshop or select the individual days they would like to attend.

Academy Auditions for 2026–27 Enrollment 🩰

Dancers ages 9+ seeking placement in Adage Ballet Academy’s Preparatory and Primary Tiers are invited to audition on:

Saturday, August 29
4:30–6:00 PM
📍 New Castle, PA

Auditions will take place immediately following our Lucymont Open House from 1:00–4:00 PM, and prospective dancers and families are warmly encouraged to join us beforehand to tour the academy, meet the directors, and learn more about our training.

Submit your application online to reserve your audition.
A $25 application/audition fee applies.

Unable to attend August 29? Private auditions, trial classes, and video auditions are also available.

Please note: Preliminary and Elementary students do not audition. Families may apply directly and may be invited to a trial class for placement.

You’re invited to the Lucymont Open House this Saturday! ✨

Join us on August 29 from 1:00–4:00 PM to explore the new home of and .yoga.flow, tour the facility, meet the directors, experience a live ballet demonstration, and learn more about the programs taking shape at Lucymont.

We’ll also end the afternoon with a free 45-minute Yoga Flow at 3:00 PM — just bring your own mat and wear something comfortable to move in.

Guests are welcome to drop in throughout the afternoon, but be sure to check the schedule in the carousel so you don’t miss the activities you’d like to see.

*RSVPs are encouraged, but not required.*

Progress at Lucymont is moving fast! ✨

We’ve been juggling multiple projects at once as we get ready for our upcoming Open House — from scraping wallpaper in the entry hall in preparation for fresh paint, to bringing 130 subfloor panels inside for our sprung floor buildout, which is now fully underway.

We’ve also set up the Parents’ Observation Lounge, welcomed WKBN 27 News to the property, and continue to transform each space one project at a time.

We are so excited to see everything coming together.

And stay tuned — we’ll be sharing some behind-the-scenes footage of the sprung floor construction today and tomorrow! 🩰
