SAY WHAT?? It’s been exactly one year since “UNSTOPPABLE: A Q***r Dancical” opened its three-week premiere run! To celebrate the occasion, enjoy these previously unreleased photos captured by Brenda Powers Photography. Such wonderful memories!

“UNSTOPPABLE” was an ode to the power and resilience of the LGBTQ+ community, with a plot that acknowledged anti-q***r/anti-trans violence and oppression. Who would have thought that one year later, our community and many other marginalized groups would be under renewed attack and unprecedented erasure. But we will not be stopped! Please continue to support the LGBTQ+ community in every way you can 💜

Do you remember, not even four years ago, when the name of the game was SELF-ISOLATION, and the only way we could gather with friends and communities was through our screens? Oh, how much fun that was! 😂

The magic of live theater is that when everyone gathers and shares in the same experience of artful storytelling - performers on stage, crew members backstage, and audience members in the house - we’re all inexplicably connected. Call it vibration, call it oneness, call it synergy, call it mirror neurons… We all know how it feels, and no AI, AR, or VR can truly replace it.

We want to sincerely thank everyone who contributed to the shared experience known as the word premiere production of “UNSTOPPABLE: A Q***r Dancical.” From our cast and crew who collectively devoted thousands of hardworking hours to bring the show to life; to sponsors and community partners who believed in our project; to everyone who came to see the show, applauded and cheered their hearts out, and helped us spread the word. An independent theater production can often feel like a fool’s errand. It was the overwhelming response we received for the show, the magical exchange we had night after night with the audience, that made it all worthwhile 💝 💝 💝

Although our world premiere production is now over, please stay tuned! We will continue to post photos, video clips, and behind-the-scenes tidbits, as well as any future development of this show. And who knows, there might just be another dancical coming your way… 😁
