Tickets to SUNDAY SERVICE are linked in our bio. All profits go to the West Seattle Food Bank. Among the many reasons that this show is going to be an absolute ripper is the place itself, Kenyon Hall. Aside from being a total cherry of a space, it hosts one of the only Wurlitzer organs in the city of Seattle.

Come get your guts some CHURCH fools! It’ll do your heart some good!

Dear congregation, after the smashing international success of TELEPHONE, Psychopomp Projects is turning inward to start our own goddamned church! On April 19th at Keynon Hall, SUNDAY SERVICE will be headlined by REPOSADO who are gonna blow the doors off the place. We’ve got the gorgeous music of Tekla Waterfield and Tito Ramsey will be serving as our music director, piloting the Mighty Wurlitzer organ. We’ll have the splendid poetry of Dujie Tahat, Susan Rich, and Paul Mullin. Plus a collective Tarot reading by the exceptional Kate Clark!

This is a FAKE CHURCH, meaning that you are welcome if you’re Jewish, Muslim, Christian, Hindu, Buddhist, Atheist, Agnostic, Scientist, Fabulous, Punk, Magician, or otherwise. Everybody’s way is good to us so long as it makes life more alive! We’ll sing together, read together, give some thanks together, dance together, and there will be candles.

And if you’ve never been to Keynon Hall, get with it homies! This legendary little West Seattle spot will get you shouting AMEN!

The tickets are on a sliding scale from $15 - $250 because every penny profit is going right into the coffers of the West Seattle Food Bank to raise up meals for our neighbors and families. Only 130 tix are available in our link or directly through Eventbrite.

Brothers and sisters and siblings, we’re gonna do some good. And we’re gonna do YOU some good! The world and its headlines are dark but this little party of spirit will be utterly aglow. Come on down to the Chapel of Immaculate Bombast and get yourself some fu**in CHURCH! Oh! And remember to wear your Sunday BESTS

Blessings and encouragement to all, The Good Rev. N.M. Langston

Dear friends: TELEPHONE, the international arts game that’s been running for a year, is about to get published, both online and as a physical gallery show at Base Camp Studios in Seattle, Washington, USA. It consists of almost 1,300 original, interconnected artworks from 63 countries.

We’re desperately trying to raise up $5,000 to make it happen. We’re only 11% funded with only 17 days left to reach our goal.

HELP!
http://kck.st/3TUVBzW

The only reason we’re passing the hat and begging for help is because we truly believe this global collaboration of strangers will do some real good in this world. What we’ve already built is mind-boggling. And, despite pouring thousands and thousands of hours of labor into this project, we’re not keeping a penny for ourselves. Every single dollar / euro / yen / peso goes directly into making this spectacularly ambitious exhibition happen.

Not for money, not for fame. We’re doing this because it’s cool and beautiful. If you can help us with $1000 or $10, it would mean the world.

Here’s the link! And sending such love from ALL of us! http://kck.st/3TUVBzW

As of today, our game of TELEPHONE is a living network of 1,117 original and interconnected works of art. It is already a staggeringly gorgeous vision but we still have 4 months to go!

Right now we dearly hope artists of all genres will sign up to play with us. MUSICIANS! PAINTERS! WRITERS! DANCERS! FILMMAKERS! SCULPTORS! PHOTOGRAPHERS! We dearly need every kind of artist, from every country on the planet to sign up to play so that we can continue to grow this vast and absurdly beautiful experiment until we publish the game globally on October 10th, 2025.

Signing up is free and takes only minutes. You can do it at https://artists.telephonegame.art (link in our bio).

PLEASE SHARE AND SHARE AND SHARE this invitation to every artist or arts board you know!

With 4 months to go, TELEPHONE is currently 4x the size of the Venice Biennale. If you also have trouble visualizing the abstract number sizes of crowds, here’s some pictures. We have more artists collaborating than all the people in the first picture (from 807 cities in 60+ countries). At our current pace, we’ll get as many artists as in the second pic. If everyone helps, we’ll get all the people in the 3rd photo- all individual artists creating original and interconnected works in a vast network across the globe.

But by god, we need more artists of every art form to play with us! In a time of fragmentation, nationalism, and isolation, our little game of TELEPHONE is a joyful and overwhelming repudiation of everything that keeps us separate.

If you know any brilliant artists who will play with us, please invite them to sign up at https://artists.telephonegame.art

Despite our absurdly lofty ideals, it’s still just a game. And it is truly a very difficult and gorgeous type of fun!

TONIGHT you don’t want to miss ALIVE INSIDE, an open mic hosted by You Are Going To Die, a San Francisco based group I DEEPLY admire. Their focus on metabolizing grief and loss through arts is spectacularly important. Despite expectations, their events are always so staggeringly joyful!

Moreover, some of my very favorite people / artists will be there including Nick Jaina and Chelsea Coleman (both TELEPHONE musicians) as well as the extremely well inspiring Ned Buskirk. and others. I might actually sing a song!

This is all to benefit Alive Inside, a program for community impacted by the prison system, in association w/ Washington Community Action Network.

Can barely imagine anything so needed right now and hope you’ll come on down to both listen and to share your gifts. Love y’all and see you there!

International Open Call for All Art Forms:

TELEPHONE is an arts game and experiment based on the children’s game in which a message is whispered from person to person. In our game, a message is whispered from art form to art form, so a message could become poetry, then, painting, then music, then film, photography, prose, dance, sculpture, and any other form of art. Artists are only aware of the work that directly precedes their own. When an artist sends back their finished translation, we then assign that work to two or three other artists on the other side of the earth, so the network of the game expands exponentially.

TELEPHONE will be published as an interactive online exhibition in October 2025, having run for one year. It will be the first time any of the artists see what preceded their work and what came after it. There are currently 1,200 artists playing from 687 cities in 60 countries, though we could easily accommodate thousands of more players in the coming months. There is no money involved, either for our team of volunteers or for artists. We are not affiliated with any companies or organizations. You can read about our previous games in publications like The New York Times, Seattle Times, Hyperallergic, La Nacion, Los Angeles Daily News, CentoTorri, Poets & Writers Magazine, and many other outlets.

You can browse our last exhibition, published in 2021, at “phonebook.gallery”

Applying to play is free and only takes a few minutes. We hope you’ll join us and share this gorgeous game with any brilliant artists and art groups you know.

Application link in bio.

Can’t wait to play with you!

Hello? HELLO?! Oh hi! Big article about our TELEPHONE project by Amanda Manitach in Public Display Art, being released at a party tonight at Base Camp Studios 2. This pic for the article was created by the very brilliant and magical Maayan Haim.

It’s pretty wild to be featured 8 months before our global exhibition goes live but if it helps us recruit (THOUSANDS OF) more artists to play TELEPHONE, hell yeah!

Link to join in the bio or below. We hope you and all your brilliant artist friends will play with us!

And if you’re in the Seattle area, come down to the release party at Base Camp (2nd floor) tonight for happy hangs. If you’re not in Seattle, we urge you to party right where you are!

Hey buddies! So here’s the situation, four months in…

Just about 1000 artists are playing TELEPHONE, either finished or working on their artistic contributions now. These very real people are from 576 very real cities in 53 very real countries.

But we currently only have 35 artists waiting to play TELEPHONE.

The truth is, we could easily accommodate 10,000 artists if they applied to play today. Our little, brilliant team could handle it and we are planning to keep playing through September.

The only thing holding us back is signing up every single artist in the world. Our tiny team will do its very best. But I can’t say anyone on our tiny team knows how to find that many artists. Our only real hope now is word-of-mouth, of artists recommending the game to their friends.

Keep in mind that there is ZERO money involved. Nobody is turning a profit on TELEPHONE. And yet, we have the chance to create the largest international exhibition of original and interconnected works in history.

That’s bananas, super poignant in the time we find ourselves, beautiful and exceptionally funny. If you believe in this project, believe it’s a good thing in the world, inspiring artists connections across the planet… well, our gorgeous little crew could use yr help NOW.

Please send the application link to any and every beautiful artist you know.
