It is tulip season in Pacific NW so I had to paint a couple. I love the beautiful granulation on the background of these tulips 😍.

Happy Monday, everyone! Over the weekend I had some fun these with polaroid style paintings, trying to recreate the kitty looking up at birds that I painted a while ago.
Day or night, Sun or Moon, the birds need to be stalked.
These are so fun to make and not very difficult. You just need patience and some salt.
I love kitties!
How about you, are you a cat lover too?
These two are now available in my Etsy shop and I can make more, but each would be different.

New video: Painting Palm Trees at Sunset.
I've had this on my video to do list since I first went to Hawaii and I saw those amazing clouds that seemed surreal.
The inspiration photo was taken at Lava Lava Beach Club when the palms were still decorated for the holidays.

The sun is out more often these days, so slowly but surely, color is coming back. The tulips in Washington are famous, but first, we get to enjoy the daffodil fields.
The inspiration photo 😍 is from two years ago.

Living in Western Washington, most of the time it's foggy or cloudy and I always wanted to paint foggy mountain scenes. Even though I need more practice, I believe I've got the basics down: color, water, hairdryer and patience. Lots of water and patience.
Did you try painting fog? Do you like fog?
