There has been a lot going on and my productivity had to take a serious backseat to other things. But during some downtime at work, I did manage to get a process shot of an upcoming but very long-term project.
I organize large EPP projects like this by hand sewing each row first and then attach the rows together. To keep track of everything and stay organized, I print each row's order on an No 9 envelope and fill with the hexies. I use Excel for formatting but also the CountIf functions to give me color totals for each envelope. As I go, I mark or poke my needle next to the hexie I just added. This row is all the same color (notice my Conditional Formatting in my color totals to denote which is the only color) , so all I have to do is make sure I don't have any clumpings of the same fabrics together. When the row is complete, it's folded and put back in the envelope and back into the storage bin until it's time to sew the rows together.
