From the bottom of our hearts, we would like to take a moment to honor a dearly lost friend, Marcell Marias. Marcell was a champion behind the decks and a profound creative inspiration within our Seattle community and beyond.
His sisters have shared the following message with us:
"Hi Everyone - Marcell’s sisters here. We’re heartbroken to share that our beautiful brother Marcell passed away. This was sudden and sooner than any of us expected, leaving our family to pick up the pieces and find our way forward.
We know he had a wonderful community in Seattle and around the world. Thank you to everyone who supported him as a friend, a collaborator in the arts, and to those who danced to his music and played in his light. You all made him feel incredibly special.
We’d like to honor Marcell with a night of dancing at one of his favorite Seattle venues in the coming months. We also plan to host a celebration of life at a local Seattle park pavilion in the summer. Until then, please celebrate his beautiful life in ways meaningful to you. He will be forever missed.
