So grateful for this lovely crew.
Thank you for making these four days so special! :)

It doesn’t cook, clean, or pay the bills. Pretty useless if you think about it. :)
But it makes you smile, adds a little joy to your day, and makes your space feel more like you.

Not a bad job for something that just hangs on a wall!

Day 3 of our Seattle workshop!
Working big, working small. Some abstract, some abstract landscapes. Switching things up gives us a chance to refresh, see things differently, and get unstuck.
Sometimes all you need is a little change of perspective to loosen up and let go. :)

Day two of our Seattle workshop!

Today we explored and discussed our intentions, played with drawing exercises, revisited some design principles, and started working BIG! All in progress.

Lots of exploring, experimenting, and discovering along the way. Excited for day three tomorrow! :)

Day 1 of 4 Seattle workshop!
Exploring different voices, pushing beyond what’s familiar, and shaping them along the way.
A little uncomfortable, a little messy, and a lot of fun!
That’s where the good stuff happens. :)

I rarely know exactly where a painting is going when I start.
I might have an intention. A color. A shape. Something I’m curious about. But I don’t need to know the ending.

I think sometimes we confuse intention with having a plan. They’re not the same.

Intention gives us a place to start. Curiosity keeps us moving. Then at some point, the painting starts talking back.

Maybe the practice isn’t about getting rid of uncertainty.
Maybe it’s about getting more comfortable making inside of it.
