Bio: Dancer, performer, instructor;
This proudly Black and Q***r creative is good for serving sass and serving ass! While BabyCakes has been into pole since late 2019 and began a journey with instructing and performing in the beginning of 2023… Fun fact… They have been Black their whole entire lives. BabyCakes carries their love and pride for the culture wherever they go in life, and was thrilled at the opportunity to participate in a show highlighting the culture through storytelling and dance. Bringing Black art and Black voices to the forefront is a core belief for BabyCakes, knowing how erasure of our cultural influences and contributions has become entirely too common place within our society at large. They are beyond honored to be returning this year, supporting this production as a co-producer and helping to promote a platform for more Black creatives across the pole community!

Akasha has been dancing all their life, but only doing pole / fu***ng the floor for the last 3 years. She dances to feel the fires of liberation and sensual expression, both of which the world has been trying to extinguish using shame, racism, and oppression since she was a child. This performance is a love letter to all the Black and brown womxn (inclusive) who have been told that their body is too much, that their desires are too much, that their existence is too much. It's never too late to seize pleasure and joy, and to love yourself wholly.

artists bio is:

They are a multi-modal artist that lives to create! Theyve been a skripper for the past 2.5 years and I’ve found life-altering liberation through this type of erotic expression. For me, being apart of Black Ass History will be a celebration of the collective fight for freedom we fight as black folx and how our joy is resistance.

Performer announcement!! It's

Gracie is a dancer who moved back to the US a year and a half ago. Living outside of the country for 7 years in areas with small black populations and no black American population was challenging in many different ways. She is excited to be in this community sharing space and sharing the stage with talented black dancers, celebrating black history, black joy and black expressions of creativity. 

We are stoaked to have them joining us as a performer this year!

Second performer announcemnet jioing us from east coast jts Takillya Sunrise

Takillya Sunrise is Cali bred, Bama fed and began her Burlesque career in 2015 when she formed Mobile Alabama's Premier Burlesque & Variety Show Camellia Bay Burlesque LLC, The city's first burlesque troupe. She now calls New Orleans home. Known as “The Strong Shot of Tease” Takillya is an award-winning Pole artist and has over 20 years of performance experience under her G String including Polesque which combines the art of pole and the art of burlesque. 

"I am participating in BAH because It aligns with my values and mission to bare myself in the presence of my community and those who support and love on us 365, 24/7! I am elated to be a part of what will undoubtedly be a phenomenal event for us by us! Black history is every damn day and I’m grateful for productions like BAH! Aerial Panther started his dance career back in 2016, first appearing in Jax Pole Athletics in Florida. His natural talent for rhythm has been seen on stages from coast to coast. Despite his calm and gentle demeanor, he is no stranger to an Old school Seductive shakedown.
