Counting my blessings:
This Saturday was my first market of the year! My husband usually helps me man my booth during these markets, but this time he was sick with a sore throat and cold.
Blessing number 1: Amazing friendships and love.
I could've tried to man the booth on my own, but I reached out to my childhood friends. Everyone knows how hard it is as adults to adjust schedules and get together, but they came through in the clutch and showed up (driving for hours through traffic to see me) to relieve me for breaks, bring me food, and keep me company. Special thanks to my friends Jenny, Q, Gio, and Tina for just showing me love on a long, hard, hot day.
Blessing number 2: God is good and he will provide.
I've struggled this year with the idea of raising my prices. One day I woke up to a voice in my ear that clearly said the reason you don't value yourself is because you don't understand your worth. I raised them, nervous that they won't sell, that I'll be overlooked, or thought to be pretentious. But I chose, through my fears, to listen to the voice of God, and he provided! I came out with over $1k of profit for the day and the feeling of gratitude and love overflowing.
Blessing number 3: Divine timing.
With my husband sick, I knew it would be inevitable that I too would end up catching it lol. I prayed my lil heart out that it wouldn't be until AFTER the market. The next day, I got hit. I'm forever grateful that it wasn't during the event, thoooo thinking back on it maybe I should've prayed to not get it at all π
God, the Creator, created us in his image. Thank you Lord for this Gift, to be able to create and share it with those around me. π
