ARTIST EXHIBITION INFORMATION & RECOMMENDATIONS

The Gary Manuel Salon & The Collins Pub in Pioneer Square offer monthly exhibition opportunities for local visual artists.

Scheduling of artist exhibitions for the calendar year 2024 at The Gary Manuel Salon & The Collins Pub is now underway & accepting proposals from interested artists.

The Gary Manuel Salon at 528 Second Avenue - Pioneer Square.
Exhibitions at The Gary Manuel Salon are one month in duration.
The Collins Pub at 526 Second Avenue - Pioneer Square
Exhibitions at The Collins Pub are 2 months in duration.

Interested artists proposals - Please send a short bio & 3 good resolution images with dimensions, media and date created information by email & provide links to your website and/or social media to view artworks & artist information.

Send exhibition proposal information to [email protected]

If possible, visiting the venues to experience the environment & envision your potential exhibition would be a good first step but not essential. Please view images on this page of the two venues environments and wall space.
As an example the venue space can exhibit 14 artworks: 4 small up to 18”, 5 medium up to 24” & 5 large up to 48”. This is a recommendation as any combination that fills the exhibition wall space will be excellent.
Artworks should be ready for hanging with artwork labels & artist business cards available.

I thought I would pass along a suggestion that many artists have received as a benefit for their exhibitions to look more professional in regards to artwork labels.
So often artists have sheets of adhesive labels that are placed directly on the wall. It is quick but takes time to remove them at deinstall & will need to be reprinted for the next exhibition. An added cost & use of time.
I suggest that artists use mat board cut 1/8" larger than the adhesive label. White or light grey look best. It is easy to set up a template to cut the rectangles & making more than needed is a good idea.
All that is needed for attachment is blue painters tape, that I have with my installation kit. Making a loop with it on the back of the label & onto the wall making it easy to adjust & make corrections. The labels made this way are easily removed & are ready for the next exhibition. Saving time & materials.

Artists will have assistance with scheduling, exhibition installation & promotion.

Exhibition notices are posted at my Curators page https://www.facebook.com/eddcoxfineart & Pioneer Square ArtWalk page. https://www.facebook.com/groups/325305200869178
There is a 10% commission on artwork purchases. Many exhibitions have been successful in achieving purchases.
We hope that you will be interested in creating an exhibition at these two venues in Pioneer Square.
