When I moved to Maine, I heard the phrase "Finest Kind" for the very first time, and I fell head over heels. I believe that it is in no way perfect, but that we can cultivate a life filled with even the smallest things that make us happy. I believe that hard times can lead to good times, and that sometimes all you need is a good book and a sweet tea and a hammock to find a little happiness. Or a w

alk in the woods. Or simply being surrounded by family and friends. Or sometimes, all you have to cling to is faith and hope, which is the finest kind of gift, to me. My prints and paintings are inspired by all of the above. John 10:10

Went on a Sunday drive today; ate at the Wild Cow Creamery in Belfast (last day of the season!) Found a trail we'd never been on in Camden Hills; had a slice of pizza at the Lincolnville General Store, and ended up on the docks in Camden Harbor. I love to adventure and travel, but if I could never leave Maine for one reason or another, I'd be ok. 👌

We took the family on a Casco Bay Lines cruise, from Portland to Bailey Island and back. It was so fun; the Maine coast is my favorite because of the wealth of islands. The captain touched on the history of just about all of them; I'd love to do it again and just sit and listen rather than run around taking pictures! I love being a tourist here :)

The first evening at Hammonasset was wonderfully foggy. The second evening, we laid on the bed and watched cranes fly in and out of the salt water marsh, and when the sun went down and the stars came out, the fireflies put on a show until we fell asleep. Two perfect nights!
