Tonight’s the night! We are opening our one act festival, performances will be Thursday evening, Friday evening, and Saturday matinee and evening. We are so excited to share the hard work of our eight student directors with you!

“At its core, directing is the art of storytelling through other creative partners. A director makes decisions about how the story should feel, and then guides the actors in rehearsal to shape the moments and create connection with the audience. Tonight’s performances come from students enrolled in Play Directing II, who have taken on the challenge from start to finish. Each director has chosen a script, cast the show, organized rehearsals, and led the process of turning these ideas on a page into a performance on our stage. With minimal technical elements, our focus tonight is on the storytelling – clear, immediate, and human. What you will see this evening is not just a series of one act plays, but a collection of voices discovering what it means to imagine, lead, and create.“ - Ben Jones
