Wednesday Wisdom!

Wow, El Nino is here and the outlook is for it to extend all year. That means a wet and cooler summer. With this trend being in place for the foreseeable future we have a unique situation.

Landscaping in the summer in Texas!!!!! Yes, it’s very doable this year. What are you thinking Barry? Well, let’s think this thing through. Summer stress usually slows growth. However, with it being cooler and wetter, plants will be growing roots. That is what you want for plant establishment with new landscaping. That’s what I call free water. Free is good. That right there will save a lot of maintenance water costs. Yes, it's a great year to landscape.

Happy Wednesday from Earthsmart!

Hello, hello, I’ve enclosed some photos of a landscape project we did this week. We installed Perfection Abilias, Wintergreen Boxwoods, Ajuga, Iris, Canna Lily, Mexican Firebush and some Hosta’s. Using different textured plants brings interest into the
design. We added some sod in the lawn and adjusted the sprinkler heads and lowered the backflow. Someone had installed it at about 40 inches! We also repaired the drainage piping.

Happy Wednesday!

Well, we have been super busy all while making Katy, Texas a little more beautiful. We are planting perennial color everywhere. These everlasting plants are a great investment because they will return year after year.
Our new lawn fertilizer program is showing great signs. We are now applying a 3 fertilizer blend with every application. This is in conjunction with our insect and w**d control applications. When we put down a treatment it’s an honest blend
of products. This blend best serves our customers. There’s no shrink-flation at Earthsmart!

Academic degrees in horticulture and professional licenses are the norm across much of the United States for landscape contractors. These requirements identify competence to perform a specific task or job.

Earthsmart is licensed in several states and can provide you with the knowledge, experience, and industry standards needed for a successful beautification project for your property.
