It’s feeling like summer!! I finally got to photograph some of my recent work yesterday and I’m getting ready to take a week long workshop in Idyllwild, one of my favorite places to go in the summer. Here’s a variety of mugs that I’ve been working on for the past couple of months, using a technique called Mishima.☀️

I’m so thankful for students like my former student, Emily, who never fails to remember me at teacher appreciation week. I just received this wonderful handwritten letter from her in my mailbox. She made me this gorgeous set of Beatles dishes in her college ceramics class last year. I’m so thankful for dedicated, talented, creative, and thoughtful students like her to encourage me to continue teaching. 💕

It was an amazing evening celebrating our high achieving Marina High School students at the 61st Annual Golden Shields Ceremony at HBHS auditorium. I’m so proud of my advanced ceramics students this year!!! 👏👏👏🥹
