Afa Artists For Art AFA’s mission is to foster an appreciation of the visual arts, to present the visual arts to the NEPA region, and to provide support to regional artists.

The gallery is also a home and advocate for all means of arts & cultural programming!

We were doing some very serious festival work (scrolling cat content) when we stumbled across this. Apparently Fluff is kind of a big deal. 😼🍸

Meet Fluff in the City, a feline femme fatale with main-character energy, a booming career in PR (that's Purrs and belly Rubs), and absolutely zero interest in commitment. Honestly, we're a little intimidated.

Fluff is repped by Glamour Puss, the most exclusive pet talent agency around, and its superstar agents are bringing their open call to the 2026 Scranton Fringe Festival, October 8–10 at AFA Gallery. Our friends at Kitties of NEPA Pet Rescue are joining in with real adoptable kitties, who, unlike Fluff, are VERY ready to commit. 💕

Afa Artists For Art will spend this year's Scranton Fringe Festival hosting five very different stories — from a Studio 54 disco tale to Chekhov reimagined for an airport terminal.

🪩 Down to the Fifty-Four — 1979, Studio 54. A shy Columbia University student loses his nerve at the velvet ropes, then meets the girl who changes everything — from Scranton-native playwright Bill Savage
💇 The Trouble with My Hair: Coloring, Cutting, and Coming into Who I Am — Ada Cheng's solo show tracing her hair journey (and the stylists behind it) into a story about identity, humor, and reclaiming her voice
🐾 Glamour Puss — an improvised comedy from Double D about two very committed pet talent agents, with real live animals sharing the stage
🗣️ You Echo Into Cages — a chorus of poets performing a layered, synchronized reading on selfhood and identity
✈️ Three Sisters Scranton — a bold new adaptation of Chekhov, set in an airport terminal, following three women carrying their own histories of displacement

Five shows, five completely different rooms to sit in for a night — only at Scranton Fringe.

Join us tonight for our monthly Life Drawing session this Tuesday September 15th from 7-9pm This session will be a half nude/half costumed figure drawing session with featured model Leba.
All skill levels are welcome! This will be a two hour self guided session with a moderator for timed poses.

Tables, chairs, and easels are provided but artists are required to bring their materials (paper, pencil, charcoal, etc.) All are welcome (students under 18 require a parental permission slip or signed letter that must be provided to the gallery BEFORE the event).
