Symmetry Dance Company has been providing premier dance education in Scranton, PA since 2011. We offer classes for ages 1.5 through adult in ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, modern, acro, and more. Led by Founder & Artistic Director Abby Slater and Director of Administration & Children’s Programs Blythe Alexander, our team is dedicated to fostering strong technique, artistic expression, a

Hello, Dance Families! 🩵

Our exciting new dance season kicks off September 14th, and we can't wait to welcome everyone back! 🩰✨

To help make the first week of classes as smooth and stress-free as possible, we are offering two opportunities to stop by the studio and get everything set up before classes begin!

⏰ Anytime between 11:00 AM–2:00 PM

You can stop in anytime during those hours to:

While all of this can also be completed during the first week of classes, we'd love to see you early! 🩵 It will help everyone start the season feeling prepared and ready to dance! Plus, Miss Blythe and Miss Abby will be there to answer any questions and help with anything you may need. 😊

🩰 CLASS SELECTIONS
Families who have already selected their child's classes will be able to see their schedules in the Dance Studio Pro Portal.

If you haven't selected your classes yet or would like to make any changes, please reach out to us! We are happy to help make sure your dancer is in the right classes. 🩵✨

💸 TUITION DETAILS
💰 Tuition is due at your child's first class if it has not already been paid through Dance Studio Pro.

📅 Monthly tuition is due on the 15th of each month, September–May.

Tuition is an annual fee divided into 9 monthly payments. We have already accounted for holidays, breaks, and anticipated snow days when calculating the annual tuition.

📣 For students who let us know they will be starting late due to cheer, soccer, or other fall activities, their first tuition installment will be due October 15th.

🩵✨ We are so happy to welcome Miss Kenadie back to Symmetry Dance Company! ✨🩵

Kenadie is currently a student at Marywood University, studying Early Childhood Education and Special Education. She previously danced at Symmetry for four years before graduating and also served as a demonstrator during her time at the studio! 🩰🩵

We are so excited to have her back and helping out at Symmetry this season! 🎉

Miss Kenadie will be assisting Miss Blythe with our Apprentice Company classes on Tuesday evenings and helping Miss Abby with cleaning and studio tasks on Friday evenings.

We are so happy to welcome another familiar face back to the Symmetry family and know that Miss Kenadie will be a wonderful addition to our staff this season! 🩵✨

We had SO much fun during Week 1 and Week 2, and we hope you can join us for another exciting week of Tap Camp! 🎉👞

With the new Paw Patrol movie out, we knew we had to celebrate with a PAW-SOME Week at Tap Camp! 🐶🚒🚓🐾

Get ready for a morning full of tapping, dancing, games, and pup-tastic fun! 🐾✨

This camp is perfect for dancers who are brand new to tap, want to build on skills they've already learned, or are getting ready to move from Creative Movement into our Group classes this season! Dancers ages 2½–6 are welcome! 🩰🌈

Tap Camp is also a great way to try out the studio before our fall season begins! 🩵✨

While our Creative Movement classes include both ballet and tap, this camp is ALL ABOUT TAP! 👞🎵

Last week, we continued working on our flaps and shuffles and even started learning ball changes! 👏👞 We can't wait to introduce even more technique and new skills to these tiny tappers! 🌟

Parents are welcome to stay and watch! 😊 You can even join in the fun if you'd like! However, it is absolutely not required.

If your dancer is comfortable on their own or has attended classes at Symmetry before, we recommend drop-off and pick-up. This helps dancers become comfortable and independent while allowing us to keep the class focused. 🩵

If you do plan to stay and observe, we kindly ask that you limit additional family members due to the number of participants and available space.

While your dancer is tapping away and having their own Paw Patrol adventure, parents are welcome to join Miss Abby's Yoga class! 🧘‍♀️✨

It's the perfect way to get some movement in while your little dancer has their own Saturday morning adventure! 🌿🩵

No need for a leotard and tights! 🙌

Dancers can wear comfortable clothes they can easily move in. And since it's Paw Patrol Week, feel free to have some fun with it! 🐶🐾

Thank you again to everyone that attended our Open House and 15th Year Celebration this weekend! We are so excited for the upcoming season to start on September 14th!

Our first Symmetry Shop of the season is officially OPEN! 🛍️🩵 Grab some fresh gear to start the season in style. All items are limited edition with a special graphic to represent our 15th Year!

⏳ Hurry as the shop is only open until September 14th! Items will be ready within a few weeks after the shop closes.

✨ Fundraising Info
All purchases will be added to your child’s fundraising total for the season. While fundraising is not mandatory, it does determine your place in line for purchasing tickets to our December Showcases and Spring Performances. 🌟 Plus, a portion of your fundraising will be deducted from your child's costume total when those are shared in January! 💫
